Susan likes to say the first word she ever spoke was "Horse!" Whether or not it's family legend, one thing has always been true—horses have been at the heart of her life.
After riding at some of Southern California's premier equestrian facilities, Susan realized something was missing. She envisioned a place where exceptional horse care, thoughtful amenities, and a genuine sense of community came together without unnecessary fees or compromises.
That vision became Lone Sheep Ranch.
Built on a passion for horses and a commitment to doing things the right way, Lone Sheep Ranch was created to offer more than boarding. It's a welcoming ranch where horses receive outstanding care, owners feel at home, and every detail is guided by safety, integrity, and respect for the animals entrusted to us.
Today, Lone Sheep Ranch has grown into more than a premier boarding facility. It's also a peaceful retreat where guests can experience the beauty of the Santa Ynez Valley, unwind beneath wide-open skies, and explore the region's renowned wineries, charming towns, and unforgettable countryside.
